Important

Thailand-based transfers only

Thai regulations do not permit the import or export of embryos, eggs, or sperm across international borders. Transfers to Angel Baby Clinic are only available for specimens currently stored at licensed facilities within Thailand.

If your specimens are stored overseas, please contact us to discuss your options. We can help you explore alternative pathways, including starting a new cycle at our clinic.

Frozen Embryos

Previously created embryos stored at another Thai clinic can be transferred to our laboratory for continued storage, thawing, and frozen embryo transfer (FET).

  • Suitable if you are changing clinics mid-treatment
  • Embryos from previous IVF cycles at other facilities
  • Both partners must be present to sign transfer documentation
  • Original identification documents required for both spouses

Your embryos, eggs, and sperm are your reproductive cells. Within the legally permitted storage period, you have the right to transfer them to a clinic of your choice. Here is what can be transferred to Angel Baby Clinic.

Transfer possibilities

Frozen Eggs (Oocytes)

Eggs that have been vitrified and stored at another Thai clinic can be moved to our lab for continued storage or for use in a future IVF cycle.

  • VDRL and HIV blood test reports required
  • Eggs will be stored in our liquid nitrogen storage system

The transfer process

HOW IT WORKS

1

Contact Us

Reach out to our team by phone, WhatsApp, or LINE to let us know you would like to transfer specimens. We will explain the requirements and guide you through the documentation.

2

Prepare Documentation

Gather the required documents: original identification for both spouses (for embryos) or the specimen owner (for eggs/sperm), plus relevant blood test reports (VDRL, HIV). Previous medical records from your current clinic are helpful but not mandatory.

3

Coordinate with Your Current Clinic

Contact your current storage facility to arrange the release of your specimens. If you prefer, you can sign a Letter of Authorisation and we will coordinate the transfer on your behalf.

4

Secure Transport

Specimens are transported in liquid nitrogen storage equipment. The container must remain upright at all times during transit. Do not open or handle the equipment if any leakage is observed.

5

Arrival & Verification

Upon arrival at our laboratory, our embryology team verifies the specimens, confirms identity documentation, and transfers them into our storage system. You will receive confirmation once the process is complete.

6

Consultation & Next Steps

Meet with your fertility specialist to discuss your treatment plan — whether that is a frozen embryo transfer, an IVF cycle using your stored eggs, or insemination using your stored sperm.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I transfer specimens from another clinic in Thailand?

Yes. You can securely transfer your frozen embryos, eggs, or sperm from any licensed fertility clinic in Thailand to Angel Baby Clinic. Your reproductive cells belong to you, and you have the right to move them within the legally permitted storage period.

Can I transfer specimens from overseas?

No. Thai regulations prohibit the import and export of embryos, eggs, and sperm across international borders. Transfers are only possible between licensed facilities within Thailand. If your specimens are stored abroad, please contact us to discuss alternative options.

What documents do I need?

For embryos: Both spouses must be present with original passports or Thai ID cards. For eggs or sperm: The specimen owner must be present with original identification, plus VDRL and HIV blood test reports.

Can Angel Baby Clinic handle the transfer for me?

Yes. If you are unable to collect and transport the specimens yourself, you can sign a Letter of Authorisation and our team will coordinate the transfer with your current clinic on your behalf.

How are specimens transported?

All specimens are transported in liquid nitrogen storage equipment, maintaining the same cryogenic conditions as long-term storage. The container must remain upright during transit. If any leakage is observed from the storage equipment, do not touch it — contact the clinic immediately.

What storage equipment does Angel Baby Clinic use?

Our laboratory uses liquid nitrogen storage equipment for all cryopreserved specimens. This is the same system used by leading fertility centres worldwide, including our affiliated fertility network in Taiwan.

Will the transfer affect the quality of my specimens?

When handled correctly, the transfer process does not compromise the quality or viability of frozen embryos, eggs, or sperm. Specimens remain in liquid nitrogen throughout transit and are verified by our embryology team upon arrival.
